    Standardized Ashwagandha 5 Withanolides

    Most standardized ashwagandha extracts contain 2.5% withanolides. KSM-66 has the highest percentage of ashwagandha withanolides of all root-only extracts available today. It has more than 5% concentration of withanolides as measured by HPLC.

    You will find that a lot of ashwagandha products are bitter in taste. The name of ‘ashwagandha’ is a combination of the word ‘ashva’ meaning horse, and ‘gandha’ meaning smell.     This is because of the root-only extraction process and not using the leaves as part of the product which can contain the withaferin A.
